Ten-HUT! Attention all volunteers and do-gooders! DoSomething.org has some exciting news to announce in preparation for the 2012 DoSomething Awards.
Unlike regular boot camps, the DoSomething boot camp is designed for rigorous social action training. A series of sessions are held to help give kids and adults under the age of 25 the tools to grow and sustain their community action ideas, projects, and organizations. And if you aren’t able to attend the LA boot camp, don’t worry! You can join the stream from anywhere with an internet connection, to ensure that you’re ready to help your community!
The online event takes place on Saturday, August 18, beginning at 9:40a.m. PT. You can check the entire schedule of events at DoSomething.org. And don’t forget to tune into the 2012 DoSomething Awards which air on Tuesday, August 21 at 9:00p.m. ET on VH1. With tons of celebs in attendance, and music acts Flo Rida and Fun. performing, this is the one award show you won’t want to miss this month!
Tell us in the comments what you’ve done to help your community this year! Ask anyone who has done it, you get an amazing rush once you realize what a difference you’ve made!
