THE AVENGERS Leads 2013 Kids Choice Award Movie Nominees

The nominees for the Nickelodeon's 26th Kids Choice Awards were announced withThe Avengers leading the movie category with six nods. As usual, overlap does exist between the KidsPickFlicks PICK Awards - where kids vote for the movies and performances from kids they deem the BEST - and the KCAs which are not limited to kids and more about what's popular. Nominees which are also nominated for a PICK Award have an asterik next to them.

Kudos to Zachary Gordon, the only kid movie actor to get a nomination in the KCAs (and also a PICK Actor nominee and past PICK Actor winner)!

We're surprised that Selena Gomez didn't get nominated for Animated Voice in Hotel Transylvania and Emma Stone didn't get a mention for Actress in The Amazing Spider-Man - it seems like they're faves, too. It also feels like a slap in the face to Josh Hutcherson who didn't get nominated for The Hunger Games OR Journey 2: The Mysterious Island -- especially because Journey 2 was HIS movie and his costars got nods.

Voting for the KCAs starts Feb. 14 at Nick.com. Josh Duhamel will host the awards show on March 23 at 8pm which airs on Nickelodeon, of course!

Other categories include app, book series, music and television.
