We all know that saving the planet is important- but wearing fashionable clothes while being green seems like an even greater idea! Luckily, 'Black Eyed Peas' star Will.i.am is partnering with Coca-Cola to launch a line of fashionable recycled clothing!
The line is called Ekocycle, and will use various recycled products, like plastic bottles. These products will then be turned into new materials that clothes and other products can be made out of. Besides creating clothing, Will.i.am will design headphones, handbags, and furniture out of recycled products. But unlike other eco-friendly fashion, these products are designed for a younger and cooler audience. Will.i.am hopes he can make wearing recycled products chic and hip! We definitely think so! While the products are a bit expensive, Will.i.am hopes people will be willing to pay a little more in an effort to save the planet!
Despite the break the Black Eyed Peas are taking, Will.i.am has been super busy- he even carried the Olympic torch in London! He is very stylish and we cannot wait to check out his new products- especially if we are helping the planet at the same time!
