A Very Different "Call Me Maybe" Cover

With the popularity of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” going through the roof, it was only a matter of time until we got that one awesome YouTube cover.

Several years ago, a music artist by the name of Tay Zonday released him performing an original song called “Chocolate Rain.”  Known for his incredibly deep voice, Tay swept the internet by storm.  And just like everyone else, Mr. Zonday got caught up in “Call Me Maybe” fever.  Just recently, the online sensation covered the song with the deepest vocals he could do, and it sounds MUCH different compared to what we’re used to.  You can check out the video below!

The release of Tay’s cover couldn’t have come at a better time, either.  “Call Me Maybe” has just hit number one on the Billboard Top 200.  That is such an awesome victory for Carly’s first single.  If all of her songs are as catchy as “Call Me Maybe,” we won’t be surprised if she scores another Top 200 hit in the future.

We’re huge Carly Rae Jepsen fans at Fanlala, and we think the latest cover is an awesome twist on the song.
