Steve Rushton is a Fanlala Fave

Steve Rushton is the newest member of the Fanlala fave family and he is SO talented! You may have seen him perform in the Hannah Montana Movie but he is no newcomer to the music business. We met up with him recently at a rehearsal studio and he had plenty to tell us about how he got his start, what he's been up to lately, and more!


Steve’s love for music started at age 7 when his step dad, an Elvis impersonator, got him a guitar and began pulling him up onstage. When he was older he joined a British pop band called Son of Dork and eventually made his way to America to kick off his solo career—and we are SO glad he did! He loves living in Los Angeles because of the beautiful weather and his amazing fans here. He said, “the fans here seem to be a lot crazier—a lot louder!”


He wrote a song for the Hannah Montana Movie soundtrack and ended up actually getting to perform it in the film. It was a huge deal for him and he was so excited to sing onstage with Miley Cyrus in the movie.


At the end of the day, Steve just loves to be himself and have fun with everything he does. “I’m a very positive person. I don’t take myself too seriously.” He told us that part of his personality comes out in his music as his songs are all energetic and they just make you feel good.
