It’s hard to go half a day without hearing about something relating to social media. And with it sweeping the nation like crazy, keeping tabs on social media is definitely the thing to do.
One lucky contestant used Facebook, one of the most popular social networking sites around, to click her way to the front row of a One Direction concert! That’s right, Alyssa Mangano of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania saw 1D in concert, front stage, for FREE! Better yet? The Philly native got the once in a lifetime chance to head backstage where she was able to meet the band, and it was all thanks to the local radio station Q102.
To win the contest, all of the entrants were given a unique link. The link could be posted on the user’s Facebook and Twitter. Then, the more clicks received, the better chance the entrant had at winning. In the four days each contestant had to gather page views, Alyssa took home over 70,000 clicks! How awesome is that? The concert took place on May 28, and Alyssa said “Q102 gave my best friend and me the opportunity to have the greatest night of our lives! Getting to meet the guys from One Direction and to experience their concert from front row was something I'll never forget.”
We’re totally jealous of Alyssa, but we think it’s awesome that her community gave her and a friend a chance to meet one of the biggest bands around. Congrats!
