With a record breaking amount of votes of over 122.4 million, America decided to crown Scotty McCreery as the American Idol!
After an electrifying show jam-packed with top 12 and mega-star performances, the show seemed to have everyone on the edge of their seats!
The two hour season finale boasted performances by Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez and more!
On Tuesday night’s final performance show, Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery each sang three songs. Alaina performed “Flat on the Floor,” “Maybe It Was Memphis” and “Like My Mother Does”; and McCreery sang “Gone,” “Check Yes or No, and "I Love You This Big."
He topped off his big win by singing "I Love You This Big," and hugging his family and fellow contestants. This single is available exclusively on American Idol's official site and iTunes!
With all that excitment, it's already almost time to search for next year's big winner. AI will already be hitting the road for Season 11 starting in St. Louis, MO on June 28!
