This weekend, the 20th Annual MovieGuide Awards ceremony took place at Universal City. The Awards show honors the year’s accomplishments in family-friendly films, and gathers some of the biggest celebrities from Hollywood to present the awards.
One of the names in attendance was ‘Shake It Up’s’ very own Bella Thorne. We got to chat with Bella on the red carpet, and talk with her about what the awards mean to her, as well as some of her other projects. Need we say more? Check out the interview below!
Fanlala: Your song Bubblegum Boy is a huge hit, it’s blowing up Twitter, and plenty of websites have featured it. Any plans for a music video or future tracks?
Bella Thorne: Yes, of course! Pia and I are planning a new song right now, it’s called Jello. It’s about being the life of the party, and we have lots of new things going on, so you’ll just have to watch out.
F: What was it that inspired you to get into acting, and if you could work with any actor or actress today, who would you choose?
BT: I would say my brother inspired me to be an actress. I started acting when I was nine, and I would love to work with Natalie Portman, and Emma Watson, and Christian Bale!
F: ‘Shake It Up’ takes place in the city of Chicago, have you ever been to Chicago, and if so, what do you think of the city?
BT: Yes, I’ve been there quite a few times, and I LOVE the pizza. It’s just amazing.
F: Why is tonight an important awards show?
BT: I think it’s very important to honor just everyone in film. Everyone has worked so hard, and there are just such amazing films that some people just don’t pay attention to as much. There’s always the Grammy’s and all of this other stuff going on, so I think the MovieGuide Awards are very important.
Bella even got to present at the MovieGuide Awards - such an accomplishment so early in her career! We’re so proud of the young actress!
