October is a month known for turning leaves, candy, and Halloween. However, many also recognize this month for a very noble cause. October is also known as National Anti-Bullying Month.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that bullying is an unfortunate problem that’s been a major part in the halls of our schools. Earlier this year, we attended the No Bull Teen Video Awards. Tons of young filmmakers from across the nation shared their passion to end bullying with thousands of others.
Many kids are taking advantage of the month, and spreading the word of anti-bullying throughout their schools and communities. Even celebrities like Bella Thorne, Demi Lovato, Rebecca Black, and many others who have been bullied in the past have spoken out against the perils of bullying. Recently, Demi has taken to her Twitter to show support for a news anchor who recently fell subject to bullying from her viewers. This just goes to show that bullying extends beyond the halls of school, and can affect anyone.
We have to give some major props to those who stand up against bullying, and we’d love to see students across the country during National Anti-Bullying Month. Make the cause known, and get active!
