Jessica Jarrell and James Alan Team Up for a Mashup

Covers are all the rage, lately, and Carly Rae Jepsen is totally the one artist to go to if you want to guarantee yourself a viral hit!

Of course, not to be outdone, “Payphone” by Maroon 5 is definitely another 2012 summer hit.  And we were super impressed when Victoria Justice and Max Schneider gave us their rendition of the instant classic.

Now, singer Jessica Jarrell has teamed up with James Alan to give us a performance that provides a fresh take on both tracks!  Set up almost like a conversation, “Call Me Maybe” and “Payphone” mesh so well with each other.  With Jessica singing for Carly, and James standing in for Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, they go back and forth singing lines from their respective songs.  All of a sudden, we hear both singles in a whole new way!

Jessica has been super busy lately.  Not only has she recently toured with both Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson, but the singer has also become the spokesperson/model for Pastry Shoes.  Talk about keeping your hands full!
