Jennifer Stone Talks Mean Girls

Who watched Mean Girls 2? We caught up with Jennifer Stone about her role in the movie, working with the cast, and fun moments from set!
Fanlala: What did you love about your character, Abby Hanover?
Jennifer Stone: I loved how caring she was. In the movie, she is so desperate for companionship that she will give her all to be the best friend she can be.
F: Tell us about the “Anti-Plastics.”
J: The "Anti-Plastics" are the rebuttal against the Plastics. It's the girls that have had enough with the bullying and decide to rise up against it. It's very Revolutionary War in high school.
F: Looks like you had some physical comedy to perform, tell us about that.
J: Haha, I love physical comedy. I am still trying to perfect it, so anytime I can work on it I'm a happy camper. I think in the first fifteen minutes of this movie I have food or beverages all over me.
F: Most fun scene from this movie?
J: Probably the "powderpuff" football game. I love being active. So those scenes combined my love for acting with my love for being physical. Plus it's fun to get down and dirty and not have to worry about how your hair and make up looks.
F: What scene and character was your favorite from the original “Mean Girls?”
J: My favorite character was Janis Ian. I loved her, through and through. My favorite scene was probably the beginning cuts where they talk about home schooled kids and how weird they are. I die laughing everytime.
F: Little know fact from the set?
J: Meaghan and I get weird after working a 12-hour day. We become very slap happy. :-P
F: Tell us about working with people like Maiara Walsh, Tim Meadows, Nicole Anderson, and Meaghan Martin.
J: It was fantastic. Working with all the girls was such a privilege. They are all great actresses as well as just awesome human beings. And working with Tim? I mean come on the man has has the best comedic training ever, being on SNL. How can you not love working with him.
F: Have you had “mean girl” experiences in your life or what’s your advice to girls dealing with “mean girls” at school.
J: Yes, unfortunately I have. My advice to girls dealing with a mean girl situation is to remember that it really isn't you. It is something going on with the girl who is being unpleasant, dealing with an issue in her life in a poor way. Also do not fight fire with fire. It just ends up making things worse. Which you can see very clearly in Mean Girls 2.
Thanks Jennifer! Make sure to pick up a copy of Mean Girls 2 on DVD on February 1!
