'The Hunger Games' Gets DVD, Blu Ray, and Digital Download Release Date

No doubt you saw ‘The Hunger Games’ in theaters once, maybe even more!  Soon, you’ll be able to dive into the first part of the trilogy whenever you want.

‘The Hunger Games’ is making its way to DVD, Blu ray, and digital download at the end of the summer on August 18.  And with a giant release like this one, a midnight launch is inevitable.  The studio behind ‘The Hunger Games,’ Lionsgate Films, is initiating a 12 week countdown prior to the films home video release.

What we’re really excited for in the release of ‘The Hunger Games’ (besides watching it whenever we want) are the special features.  An eight-part documentary entitled “The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games” will detail the entire making of the movie from the very beginning to the end as we’ve seen it.  The propaganda film as seen in part in the movie will also be available in its entirety.  There are tons of other special features that will be available as well.  Don’t forget to pre-order your copy!

‘The Hunger Games’ has been one of our favorite movies of the year so far.  We’re definitely scooping it up when it comes out!
