Hollie Cavanaugh Talks 'American Idol'

Last week, Hollie Cavanaugh had to step down from ‘American Idol,’ and recently she dished about what it was like living with the other contestants, as well as her time performing on the show.

As one of the season’s younger contestants, Hollie had a lot to prove.  Her favorite moments included the songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Son of a Preacher Man.”  I think that was definitely my turning point on the show, but definitely also “The Climb” because that was my first standing ovation on the show.”

Hollie also discussed what it was like to live in the house with all of the other contestants.  It must have been difficult living with so many pranksters!  “Just like pranks—like Josh would always try to scare me like 24 hours of the day.  Skylar did it and Colton did it.  Joshua was trying to buy a bunny to put in Phillip’s room just for the fun of it.  Just crazy things.”  Of course, they also liked to relax.  Hollie said “we just kind of hang out with each other and just take our minds off our songs a little bit and just mess around and play jokes on each other and just have a little fun.”

It seems like Hollie had an awesome time during her ‘Idol’ run.  Hopefully we’ll be hearing more from her in the future!
