Get Ready to Vote & Shake Up the New Year!
Disney Channel is inviting you to shake up the New Year's Eve programming lineup by voting online at DisneyChannel.com/NewYear for your favorite episodes, music videos and more. Beginning FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3, fans can vote in a total of 10 categories, including Favorite Episodes, Funniest Storylines and Top-10 favorite music videos of 2010.
Voting will determine the New Year's Eve programming lineup, "Shake It Up New Year’s," airing FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31 (6:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. In addition to the debut of "Camp Rock 2: the Final Jam" Freestyle Jam (8:00 p.m., ET/PT), featuring the movie's stars Alyson Stoner, Matthew "Mdot" Finley and choreographer Rosero McCoy teaching viewers dance moves from the hit summer musical, throughout the night, Disney Channel will showcase sneak peeks of upcoming Disney Channel and Disney XD series and original movies,including the much-anticipated "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension."
Disney Channel stars helping to ring in the New Year include Bella Thorne, Zendaya, Roshon Fegan, Adam Irigoyen, Davis Cleveland, Kenton Duty, Caroline Sunshine and R. Brandon Johnson from "Shake It Up," with special appearances by Jennifer Stone from "Wizards of Waverly Place," Chelsea Staub from "Fish Hooks," Brandon Mychal Smith and Doug Brochu from "Sonny With A Chance," Gregg Sulkin from "Avalon High," and Austin Butler from "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure."
Radio Disney will also be airing a one-hour special on SATURDAY, JANUARY 1 (9:00 a.m., PT/12:00 p.m., ET) counting down the Top 10 Disney Channel videos of 2010, hosted by on-air personalities Jake Whetter and Hallie Ashford, and including interview highlights from the artists.
