Get Pumped for the 2012 Do Something Awards

With dozens of ways to help out your town and those around you, did you join DoSomething.org in the past year to help make our world a little brighter?

DoSomething.org has teamed up with countless celebrities and inspired millions of people like you to help out their communities across the nation!  Each year they host the annual Do Something Awards, and the 2012 show is right around the corner!  Big name celebs like Emma Stone from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and so many more will be honored for their efforts to improve the world, and inspiring others to do the same!

“This is the show that recognizes famous people for what they do, not what they look like or how well they sing.” said CEO (and self-proclaimed Chief Old Person) Nancy Lublin of Dosomething.org.  The 2012 Do Something Awards will be airing Tuesday, August 21 at 9:00p.m. ET/PT on VH1.  You can check out the entire list of nominees and categories at VH1’s website, so make sure to visit, and cast your vote to determine which celebs had the biggest influence over the past year.
