Fanlala Takes on KCon 2012!

This weekend, people from all over gathered in Irvine, CA for one of the biggest K-Pop conventions in America, KCon, and Fanlala was in the middle getting you all the details!

All day during the convention, instructive panels were available so that attendees could get information on anything K-Pop. From the culture, to fashion, to music, to history, any info you could ever want was available through the day. We even got to host a panel called, what else? Fanclub 101! Writers and graphic designers who moderate fan sites for groups like 4Minute, Tohoshinki, and 2OneDay got to dish the secrets of starting your own fan club, and we got to ask the big questions to the site leaders!

When it all comes down to it, though, KCon was all about the music, and believe us when we say that there was plenty to go around. We even took to the dance floor and learned some new moves straight out of Korea! When it came time for solo dancers to take to the floor, some of the con-goers pulled off some AMAZING moves.

When the sun went down, it was time to gather around the stage for a fantastic concert put on by some of the hottest Korean groups including 4Minute, Vixx, B.A.P, and Exo-M. It would have been hard to find louder screams anywhere else this weekend, and KCon was definitely the place to be to get your K-Pop fix.

We had a blast at KCon this weekend and it’s clear from the massive crowds at the convention that everyone else did too. They might need a bigger venue for next year!
