Exclusive Q & A: Magician David Copperfield to Appear on Wizards of Waverly Place

We're very excited about another magical episode of Wizards of Waverly Place guest-starring a real-life, legendary magician!
David Copperfield has made the Statue of Liberty disappear as well as walked through the Great Wall of China, and now we can catch him on an all-new WOWP.
Here's what he had to say about getting his start in magic and more...
Fanlala: Have you ever acted in anything like WOWP before?
David Copperfield: I played myself on "Scrubs" and that was great fun too.
F: You were teaching magic at a young age, what's your best memory from that?
DC: Well, I would go from New Jersey where I lived and take the bus in to the city at 16-years-old and teach college kids older than me. It was pretty scary. I was teaching magic to college kids and I was so nervous. The first day, I walked in to the wrong classroom and I started teaching the wrong classroom magic and they didn’t stop me. They let me continue even though it was the wrong class. It turned out to be a political science class!
F: What was the very first trick you perfected?
DC: When I was eight-years-old, I made my teacher disappear. I was very popular, but then she reappeared and I lost my cred.
F: Might we see any of your famed magic in this episode?
DC: You will. I do a piece of magic where I levitate a rose that I give to Harper. All of the kids in the show, all of the actors are terrific. Jennifer was great, Jake T. Austin and David Henrie were terrific. And of course Selena was there, terrific talent and beautiful actress.
F: We know a magician is never supposed to reveal his tricks, but are there any secrets you CAN reveal to aspiring magicians?
DC: You can actually download a rubber band illusion that I do as a part of "Project Magic," which is used in hospitals around the world and is something that everyone can do.
F: Any funny behind-the-scenes moments from shooting this episode?
DC: Well, just having the cast be amazed at something was very rewarding for me.
Thanks to David Copperfield for sharing some secrets from set and beyond!
