EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Actor Tucker Albrizzi

Horror fans, get ready for a hilarious new look at the world beyond this one.  ‘ParaNorman’ is headed to theaters on August 17, 2012, and it’s got a great lineup of celebrity voices!

We got to chat with Tucker Albrizzi, who plays Neil in ‘ParaNorman.’  You might also recognize him from Nickelodeon’s ‘Big Time Rush’ and Disney Channel’s ‘Good Luck Charlie.’  See what the young star had to say about his latest role in ‘ParaNorman!’

F: What do you like most about the story of ‘ParaNorman?’

TA: It’s unique, and it’s not like any other stop motion film.  It makes it its own.  The movie is about a kid named Norman who can see ghosts, and he gets picked on for it.  It’s really awesome that he can see ghosts.  Norman is really reserved and shy, but when the town needs him, he comes out of his shell and learns to become the hero.

Fanlala: Tell us about your character, Neil from ‘ParaNorman.’

Tucker Albrizzi: Neil is Norman’s only friend.  Nothing ever gets him down.  He’s always happy, he’s geeky, and weird.  You can expect a funny, goofy kids who is just totally spontaneous.

F: Are there any paranormal stories that you’ve personally experienced, or someone you know has shared with you?

TA: When my brother was a baby, he was asleep at midnight.  My mom had the baby monitor on, and the music from the mobile started playing, and she could hear the rocking chair creaking.  She went in, and nothing was there.  The chair was rocking, but no one was sitting in it.

F: You’ve already worked with some big names like Big Time Rush, as well as the tons of actors in ‘ParaNorman,’ what actors would you like to work with in the future?

TA: I’ve always looked up to Jonah Hill and Jack Black.  They’re my idols.  They’re really funny.  I just want to make everyone laugh, so I’d love to do a comedy with them.  It’d be great to work with them.

F: Can you tell us about what projects you have lined up for the future?

TA: I just filmed a pilot for a new show called ‘Shmagreggie Saves the World’ for Disney XD.  We’re waiting to see if it gets picked up!
