Last week the stars of ‘American Idol’ performed to the age old classics of Queen, and Elise Testone had to bid farewell to her fellow contestants.
The 28-year-old singer tried out for ‘Idol’ before. Now that she’s had her second shot, she said that her inspiration came from “the students that I teach at the school to kind of be a role model for more people, just seeing how I played a role in their lives.” Elise, a vocal coach in her home state of South Carolina said that “the thing that I enjoy most about that process was just having someone come in, like totally closed off and in their shell and just watching them come out of it.” That’s totally awesome that she’s using her talents to help further others, and even help them become more outgoing!
Elise definitely had some wonderful chemistry with her other contestants. When it comes to her prediction of who she think will take home the big win for Season 11, she said “I have no idea. I just hope whoever it is has the mindset that they’re in it and they’re going to be responsible with the title, and be a role model and an inspiration.”
We think it’s wonderful that Elise is always thinking of others before herself. Sad to see you go, girl, we loved listening to you!
