E3 Microsoft and Nintendo Recap

Right now in Los Angeles, the event every gamer looks forward to is happening - the Electronics Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short.

E3 is when the the industry giants, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo come to show off their big guns along with all of the third party developers who come to show off the upcoming games for the next year.

This year at Microsoft’s conference, the Xbox 360 team revealed a brand new tablet called Microsoft Smart Glass.  Using it, you’ll gain all new kinds of access to your games.  Make plays on football games or access your inventory while on an adventure.  You can also use it as a portable device to continue a movie that you started on your Xbox.

This morning, Nintendo was all about their upcoming console the Wii U.  With a controller that acts very much like a tablet, it’s an experience you’ll have to see for yourself to believe.  On the console they announced Pikmin 3, a series that fans have been awaiting since Pikmin 2 in 2004.  Most exciting, however is Nintendo Land.  Much like Mario Party, Nintendo Land gathers all of the popular Nintendo franchises for mini game adventures that you and a whole bunch of friends can play!
