Disney's 'Frozen' is Heading to Broadway and Getting a Sequel!

Disney Frozen

‘Frozen’ was a sleeper hit for Disney at the box office. With big name movies like ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ to compete with, experts weren’t sure how the newest animated adventure would do.

While ‘Frozen’ took second to Katniss Everdeen in its debut week, it managed to win over audiences during it’s second week and nab the top box office. Then, after ‘The Hobbit’ had its fun, families rang in the new year by seeing ‘Frozen,’ making it the number one movie again, after seven weeks in theaters!

Disney has been taking careful notes on all of this, and CEO Bob Iger has recently spoken to Fortune Magazine. He confirms that Disney is in the early stages of planning a Broadway production of the wintery adventure, but they’re also taking their time. Hey, if they want it to be as good as the movie, then we definitely support that decision. The Broadway show will feature the voice talent of ‘Frozen’ stars Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff!

But wait! There’s more - Mr. Iger has said that Disney is ALSO planning a ‘Frozen’ sequel! Which means fans will be heading back to the land of Arendelle sometime in the future. We couldn’t be more excited. Stick with Fanlala for ‘Frozen’ details as they develop!

I love Frozen a lot! But I am kind of worried about the sequel because in. The past the Disney/Pixar sequels haven't been all that great. Such as the sequels to, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, Tarzan, Brother Bear, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King( though Lion King 1 1/12 was pretty good), The Jungle Book, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Pocahontas. I can only think of 2 movies that had good sequels/prequels and those are Monsters Inc and Toy Story so if anyone has anymore good sequels/prequels please share!
