Disney/Pixar Announces 'Finding Nemo' Sequel

Finding Nemo Sequel 3D

Your favorite Disney/Pixar characters have been coming back in waves for sequels to your favorite movies.  Now that Mike and Sully are returning next year for ‘Monsters University,’ who’s next to get the sequel treatment??

Back in 2003, we dove deep and joined Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) as they swept the ocean in search of Marlin’s son Nemo (Alexander Gould).  Well, it’s o-fish-al... Disney has just announced their plans for the sequel.  We hope that Marlin and Nemo get to spend more time together this time around.

The movie will be directed by Andrew Stanton, who was behind this year’s ‘John Carter.’  No stranger to Pixar, he also co-directed ‘A Bugs’ Life,’ and directed 2008’s 'Wall-E!'  The movie has been set to release in 2016, so we're still a while off, but that doesn't mean Disney/Pixar doesn't have plenty of other animated adventures lined up for us!

We’ll get our ‘Nemo’ fix later this year when ‘Finding Nemo 3D’ swims into theater this fall, and don’t forget to check out the “Just Keep Swimming” Olympics spot - you’ll LOL for sure!
