Demi Lovato Stands Up Against Bullying

Disney darling Demi Lovato is using her starpower for good: she has partnered up with the site www.pacerteensagainstbullying.org to help raise awareness to the dangers of bullying and encourage people to stop putting others down.

The Demi, we know and love, always seems so happy and bubbly onscreen and onstage and she has millions of fans who adore her, but she faced her fair share of bullying growing up. Demi wrote a letter that is posted on the site about why this cause is so important to her. In it she says, "I was bullied in middle school. It got so bad I chose to leave and be home schooled."

She goes on to explain that bullying doesn't always have to physical and that it includes the harmful words people say to others. She explains, "Words can hurt. They hurt me." 

Now, Demi wants to start a movement and make bullying stop. Keep checking back on the site to find out for an upcoming video with Demi on what this cause means to her and how you can help do your part to prevent bullying. As Demi says on the site, "The end of bullying begins with you."
