Cody Simpson Previews "Paradise"

Cody Simpson invited friends and family to his special album listening party at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, CA on Saturday (May 19th) where Cody and Hallmark also launched the latest gadet, Text Bands, which will be released later this summer, and Fanlala was there in the midst of all the action!

Celebrity guests included Ashley Argota, Kelli Goss, Savannah Jayde, Allisyn Ashley Arm, Audrey Whitby, Madison Pettis, Chris Galya, Sterling Beaumon, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, and much more!

We caught up with Cody before his special performance and he told us although he is excited to perform, he’s nervous as to what his friends and family will think. But his nerves didn’t show as he blew the crowd away! Cody performed some of his old hit such as “On My Mind” and “All Day” and also introduced two brand new songs to us, “Gentlemen” and “Got Me Good.”

“From this new album, I’ve been working a lot on my acoustic guitar and writing a lot of songs about my life and what’s going on in it,” said Cody. “It kills me to have all these songs and not be able to show my fans right now but they’ll be able to hear everything soon!”

We know Cody works really hard but his sister, Alli Simpson, dished to us that behind the scenes, Cody is just a normal 15-year-old boy. “He is such a goofball,” said Alli. “He loves having fun, hanging out with his friends, and he’s just a really chill guy.”

All of the stars of the red carpet are big Cody Simpson fans and all told us their favorite Cody songs. Madison Pettis’ favorite song is “Angel,” Allisyn Ashley Arm and Audrey Whitby can’t stop listening to “All Day,” and Sterling Beaumon, Savannah Jayde, and Kelli Goss all love Cody’s first hit, “iYiYi.”

Cody’s EP “Preview to Paradise” will be released on June 12th and then the full length album “Paradise” will be released later this summer. You can also catch Cody this summer on tour with Big Time Rush!
