Children Mending Hearts (CMH) is an organization dedicated to empowering youth through educational and arts program. Yesterday they held their 4th Annual Spring Benefit, and Fanlala got to attend!
Supported by the entertainment community, CMH has been able to impact the lives of thousands of children. With tightening budgets, many schools have been forced to cut back, or even eliminate their art programs. CMH has made it their mission to inspire kids and help them realize their potential by helping them explore their artistic talents. Founded by Lysa and Grant Heslov, the organization ultimately serves to help keep art alive in today’s youth, even if schools may not be able to.
The Spring Benefit held yesterday was attended by all sorts artists from the entertainment industry. Disney stars like Caroline Sunshine, Kenton Duty, and Doug Brochu showed up. ‘iCarly’s’ Nathan Kress was even in attendance to honor Bethany Hamilton (Soul Surfer) and Carson Meyer for their outstanding work with Children Mending Hearts. You can check out our first part of interviews with some of the stars that attended here, and stay tuned for more later today!
We had a blast at the Spring Benefit, and we’re happy it was to recognize such a great cause!
