Cheyenne Woods Qualifies for U.S. Women’s Open

Although she is most commonly known as “Tiger Woods’ niece,” 21 year-old Cheyenne Woods is making a name for herself in the golf world. A recent graduate from Wake Forest University, Woods excelled during her college career earning All A.C.C. honors for the last three years and a championship in 2011. She is excited to take the next step and attempt to translate her college success to the professional level.

Woods started her professional career by posting scores of 74 and 72 to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open at Blackwolf Run next Thursday. She is expected to play on the LPGA tour later this summer and until then golf enthusiast are left wondering whether or not Cheyenne will sport the characteristic “Tiger Red” on Sundays.
