In the Eastern Conference Finals the Miami Heat, led by Lebron “The King” James, blew out the Celtics winning by 19 points. Although everyone expected a good game, no one was ready for the dominant exhibition put on by Lebron on the Celtic’s home court. He put up 45 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists in a must win game for the Heat. The explosion has been heralded as a playoff performance for the ages and one that will not be forgotten any time soon.
Although the Celtic’s were behind by double digits for much of the game, their fans showed tremendous resolve by standing on their feet and chanting “Let’s go Celtics” for the last four minutes of the game to properly send their team off to Miami for game 7. This kind of support is exciting to see and an excellent example of how great fans can pick up their team even after a poor game. Now the stage is set for a much-anticipated game 7 in Miami that will result in the end of one team’s season and an appearance in the NBA Finals for the other.
