Box Office Beat: 'Chimpanzee'

Earth Day is this weekend, so why not spend some time at the theaters with DisneyNature’s beautiful tale ‘Chimpanzee?’

Originally setting out to capture footage of primates in their natural environment, the DisneyNature team witnessed a never-before-seen event in nature.  When a young chimp lost his mother, he was adopted by the alpha-male of the group.  This action has not been known to occur by any other species besides humans.  It’s a wonderful story that must be seen to be truly appreciated.

‘Chimpanzee’ is narrated by actor Tim Allen who voiced Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story movies.  Because this is a DisneyNature release, Disney will be donating 20 cents to the Jane Goodall Institute for primate research.  At least $100,000 will be donated, helping out a wonderful cause.  You can check out ‘Chimpanzee’ in theaters today.
