Booboo Stewart wants you to "Adopt, Don't Buy"

Hello Twilight fans! Fanlala has just learned that Booboo Stewart will be starring in the “Adopt, Don’t Buy” ad campaign for peta2. In the campaign Booboo poses alongside his adopted dog, Pookie, and urges people to think twice when purchasing pets from a pets store and opt to adopt.
 
"If you guys are interested in getting any kind of animal, definitely go and adopt," said Stewart in an exclusive interview from the photo shoot.
 
Adopting a dog or cat from a shelter gives animals a second chance at life. Every year 7 million unwanted dogs and cats enters animal shelters, and half of them must be put down simply because there aren’t enough good homes. For every animal purchased from a pet store or breeder, a wonderful and loving pet is sitting in a shelter loosing their chance at finding a home.
 
Booboo isn’t the only Twilight star to join forces with PETA. Castmates Kellen Lutz and Christian Serratos have both starred in peta2 campaigns touching on subjects on pro-adoption and classroom dissection and wearing fur.
