Best Dressed: Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards featured some gorgeous looks from some of our favorite starlets.

Miley Cyrus shows off her cropped and bleached haircut by pairing her do with a chic floor length black gown.  The long sleeve dress has sheer patches which creates a sultry effect for the otherwise conservative frock.  Miley’s silver drop earrings accentuate her haircut and the stunning neckline of the dress. 

Some of our favorite Olympians also dress well for the event.  Missy Franklin shows off one of her gold medals as she dons a gorgeous coral dress on the MTV red carpet.  The dress has a halter neckline and ruched skirt.  She wears gold diamond shaped earrings and a gold cuff as well as a black bag!  The Team USA gymnastics team also looks fabulous!  Gabby Douglas wears a striped sequin dress with black heels while Aly Raisman rocks blue and silver sequins; Mckayla Maroney wears a simple pale pink frock while Kyla Ross wears a black dress.  Jordyn Wieber wears an adorable purple dress with gold heels.

Demi Lovato, who won an award at the VMA’s, wears a black sequined mini dress to the event.  Her long blonde hair flows behind gorgeous silver earrings.  She accessorizes with a black leather jacket and black ankle booties.

Taylor Swift struts the red carpet in a more mature look than we are used to seeing from her.  The ‘We are Never, Ever Getting Back Together’ singer wears a head to toe white pantsuit.  She looks very grown up!  Later in the evening, Taylor changed into a red and white-striped top and black high-waisted shorts to perform her hit new song.

The evening featured some of our favorite stars, like One Direction, winning many awards and owning the red carpet.
