'The Avengers' S.H.I.E.L.D. is Coming to ABC

Evildoers beware!  There’s a new agency on the lookout, and they’re good; very good.

This summer S.H.I.E.L.D. was responsible for assembling one of the greatest superhero teams of all time: ‘The Avengers!’  Now that everything is seemingly calm after the massive New York brawl, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the rest have gone their separate ways.  But we always know that evil never sleeps.  The adventures will soon be continuing on your television screen now that ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has been announced as a new series based off the Marvel Comics by ABC!

Although little is known, we can expect that the world will always be in some sort of danger, and it’s up to the Special Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to take care of business.  The series will be co-written, and maybe even directed by ‘The Avengers’ director Joss Whedon.  That means we can expect the same explosive action that and feel that rocked us in ‘The Avengers’ in theaters.  Our fingers are crossed for occasional cameos from our favorite heroes, too!

Don’t forget to nab your copy of ‘The Avengers’ on DVD and Blu-ray next month.  We’ll be using it as the perfect source to prep us for ABC’s newest show!
