Americans Battle Each Other for Gold in Olympic Beach Volleyball!

Tomorrow night marks a first for the Olympics- two American teams will compete against each other for gold in women’s beach volleyball!  Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh will play April Ross and Jennifer Kessy! 

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh will attempt to win their third consecutive gold medal in Olympic beach volleyball.  They face fellow Americans, April Ross and Jennifer Kessy, who are both first time Olympians!  This is May-Treanor and Walsh’s last Olympics, so they have extra incentive to win!  Having won the most gold medals in beach volleyball, and 20 straight Olympic games, the pair wants to add to their immaculate record!  Their competitors, Ross and Kessy, want gold just as bad, as this is their first time in the games! No matter what, each team will win a medal, but they both want to win the gold!

To reach the gold medal match, May-Treanor and Walsh beat China, while Ross and Kessy defeated Brazil.  Both teams are incredibly talented, and it’s crazy that ultimately an American duo has to win!  We don’t even know who to root for, but we do know the face off will be thrilling to watch!

We can’t wait for the excitement to begin! The match is tomorrow night!
