American Idol Recap: Joshua Ledet

Now that season 11 of ‘American Idol’ is down to its final two contestants, what were the highlights of this week, and who didn’t make it to the finals?

The remaining three Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet, and Jessica Sanchez were each given three songs apiece to perform.  The first was chosen by one of each of the judges, the second by themselves, and Jimmy Iovine chose the third.  We especially loved Jessica Sanchez’ decision to perform “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith.  A band that judge Steven Tyler is currently a part of.

In the end, however, one contestant had to take the trip home, and this week that was Joshua Ledet.  He gave some of his best performances including John Lennon’s “Imagine” this week, and they earned him one final applause from the judges and audience.  Now that only two performers remain, it’s really down to the wire.  Stick with Fanlala for all of your up-to-the-minute news on everything ‘American Idol!’
