American Idol Recap: Hollie Cavanaugh

This week, ‘American Idol’ was brought down to the final three contestants in the most emotional episode, this season, so far.

This week, the Idols chose from songs with the theme “California Dreamin’” and “Songs They Wish They’d Written.”  With wonderful performances from each of the stars, including a massive, moving rendition of “Waiting for a Girl Like You” by the 80’s group Foreigner, it was difficult to think that any of these highly talented individuals would be sent home at the end of the night.

However, to bring it down to the top three, America voted, and the young Hollie Cavanaugh had to step down.  All of the contestants gave stunning, tearful, performances last night.  Unfortunately, Hollie was the one that took her leave.  Now that it’s down to the final three, the remaining performers will be setting out on their Hometown Hero Visits.  It’s going to be a heated competition among the three.

We can’t wait to see who it comes down to in the remaining episodes of ‘American Idol.’  Who are we voting for?  It’s a tough call!
