This week on ‘American Idol,’ the heat was on. Jessica Sanchez was saved last week, so everyone had to really perform at their peak this week.
Each of the contestants were able to serenade the nation with two Billboard Hits this week - one from 2000 up until now, and the other a “soul” selection from a previous decade. We were treated to a little bit of everything including from Alicia Keys to Adele from these past decades, as well as Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke from several decades ago. It was a wonderful blend of music that sounded great to our ears.
In the end however, twenty-year-old Colton Dixon had to say goodbye to his fellow contestants and the judges. He gave a wonderful rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, but Colton was unfortunately sent home. Next week, the remaining five contestants will be performing hits from the historic band Queen. You’ll want to tune in for sure!
