This past weekend, Fanlala attended Allstar Weekend’s “All The Way Tour” at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA! We caught up with Allstar Weekend and one of their opening acts, Hollywood Ending, before the show.
The “All The Way Tour” shows a whole new side of Allstar Weekend. Most of the songs on this tour are off their latest album. When we talked to the boys, they told us they listened to a lot of new music and were inspired from artists such as Bruce Springsteen for their new sound. “It’s definitely very different from our first album because our first album was mainly music that we made in a garage,” said bass player Cameron Quiseng. “We were teenagers and listened to bands like Fall Out Boy but now we’ve kind of change our taste in music. The new album is fun and a unique Allstar Weekend sound.”
Hollywood Ending is one of three opening acts on the “All The Way Tour.” They first got their big break as one of the artists on Radio Disney’s N.B.T. and now they are touring across the country and writing new music. “N.B.T. was a platform for our band,” said singer and guitar player Cameron Byrd. “It was the first thing we did as a band and it built our characters as a band. We got to meet and work with a bunch of awesome people.”
Allstar Weekend has been the “big brother band” to Hollywood Ending since the beginning. They gave them advice throughout the N.B.T. competition and also helped them write two of their songs. “The main advice they’ve given us is to just be yourself and have fun with it,” said guitar player Dan Geraghty. The boys are currently writing new music and will hopefully be releasing new songs soon!
The guys had a great performance at the House of Blues Sunset Strip. Allstar Weekend even brought fans up on stage to sing a few songs with them!
