ABC is Going Country in 'Nashville'

Country music fans are going to have one more reason to cheer this upcoming season.  A brand new show is coming to ABC, and it’s got that country thunder to it!

‘Nashville’ is all about the rise and decline of a country star’s career.  One one end, Rayna James (Connie Britton) used to have it all, but audiences just aren’t buying into her shows.  Meanwhile, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) is the new face of country music who is sweeping the scene left and right.  Juliette has her hopes set on overtaking Rayna, who is hoping to revive her career with the right song from a talented author.

Of course, the comparisons of Juliette to Taylor Swift have been pouring in.  But Hayden insists that her character will be completely different from Taylor.  Says the actress “I think Taylor would disagree. She's much nicer than my character."  Sounds like Juliette might be in the business for the wrong reasons, but an amazing character for Hayden to play!

‘Nashville’ makes its big debut on October 10 on ABC.  A country music show is something we’ve never seen on television, and we’ll have our calendars marked for sure!  Can’t wait to hear some of those fresh country tunes, either!
