2012 NBA Draft Tomorrow

The truncated 2012 NBA Season has come to a close, and the Miami Heat have been crowned NBA Champions. Although this is the end of basketball delight for many, teams with losing records and their fans are enthusiastic about their chances to draft a difference maker in the NBA Draft this Thursday.

The draft is a refreshing time of the year because it gives bad teams a chance to really improve their roster and add an impact player. For a team like the New Orleans Hornets who control the first pick in the draft they have the chance to add a potential franchise player, a cornerstone to rebuild the rest of their organization around. The consensus number 1 pick in this year’s draft is Anthony Davis, a center from Kentucky who led his talented squad to a National Championship. Other teams will have to decide if they want to choose a player who will fit in best with their team or simply the best and most talented player available.

This year’s draft has been touted as a very deep draft class with players that may be able to aid many teams attempting to turn around their franchises.
