Bio

Bunheads is a brand new television series that only debuted about a month ago on June 11 on ABC Family. It's a story about a Las Vegas showgirl and former ballerina, Michelle Simms, who has an impromptu wedding, and thus moves to her new husband's town, Paradise. While in Paradise, Michelle struggles to fit in to the small town life and even takes a job instructing at her mother-in-law's ballet studio: The Paradise Dance Academy. Tony Award-winning actress, Sutton Foster, plays Michelle Simms, and former Gilmore Girl, Kelly Bishop, plays her mother-in-law, Fanny Flowers.

1: The slang term "Bunheads" refers to ballerinas who put their hair in a bun while dancing.

2: Amy Sherman-Palladino, the executive producer of Bunheads, also produced Gilmore Girls.

3: Bunheads was originally going to be titled Strut.
