Bio

Universal Studios, or Universal, was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle. Vivendi Universal sold it to General Electric back in 2004. It was renamed NBC Universal, but the name, Universal Studios Inc., didn't change for its production company. There's also a theme park divison of NBC Universal with locations in Los Angeles, CA; Orlando, Florida; and Osaka, Japan.
