Bio

“Cars” was released in theaters in 2006. The movie takes place in a world run by human-like vehicles. While traveling to California for the dispute of the final race of the Piston Cup against The King and Chick Hicks, the famous Lightning McQueen accidentally damages the road of a small town called Radiator Springs. When Lightning McQueen is sentenced to repair it, he meets a funny, but lovable tow truck named Mater and a beautiful Porsche Carrera named Sally.
Lightning McQueen finds both friendship and love in the simple locals, which changes his values and he becomes a true winner.

“Cars 2” is set to release in theaters on June 24. Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. The trip takes a wrong turn as Mater gets caught up in an adventure of his own and finds himself torn between helping Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret mission with master British super-spy, Finn McMissile, and rookie field spy, Holley Shiftwell. The streets of Europe and Japan will never be the same after Mater’s explosive adventure.

Formula 1 racer, Lewis Hamilton has a car named after him in “Cars 2,” for which he provides the voice and chose the car’s black and yellow paint scheme.

The character of Jeff Gorvette in the film is named after and voiced by NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon.

The character of Guido in the film is named for the Italian verb “guidare” that means “to drive.”
